92 employees of the City Gov’t retire in 70s style

The City Gov’t celebrates the retirement of employees and officials who have rendered 15 and more years of service through the Pasasalamat 2019 on September 30, 2019.

Every year, a special event is dedicated to the retiring employees and officials of the City Gov’t, all with different themes and gimmicks. This year, the retirees were given the chance to relive their youth with the 70s style being the theme from the looks to the entertainment.

Apart from the looks, the retirees were also given the chance to groove to the beats of the 70s. The disco vibe radiated all over the City Hall compound as the retirees took over the stage during the Flag Ceremony in front of the City Hall Building on the same day.

The “Salamat, Paalam,” a song composed by Bobit Nacilla and Elmer Barellano of HRMO, was performed by the PSquare of Muzik’s Kool, and is dedicated to all retiring employees and officials. As the song went on, friends and family members gave flowers and gifts to the retirees.

The celebration was then brought at the Grand Men Seng Hotel where the awarding of plaques and cash incentives was done with the presence of City Mayor Sara Z. Duterte, CSC Regional Director Adams Torres, and the different department heads and chiefs of offices.
