The City Government of Davao thru the Human Resource Management Office successfully conducted the 7 Habits for Managers, as part of its Executive Development Program last January 26-27, 2018 and February 2-3, 2018 at the World Palace Center, Ecoland, Davao City. The 2 batch-training was attended by all department heads and chief of offices.
The 7 Habits for Managers is a foundational leadership development program for anyone leading a team. It provides the essential mindset, skill sets and tools that help managers effectively manage themselves, lead other and unleash the potential of their teams to achieve results. It is an intensive, application-oriented learning experience that focuses on the fundamentals of great leadership and its execution that will help meet today’s management challenges.
The training course is built on the framework of the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, as follows:
- Habit 1: Be Proactive
- Habit 2: Habit
- Habit 3: Put First Things First Begin with the End in Mind
- Habit 4: Think Win-Win
- Habit 5: Seek First to Understand Than to be Understood
- Habit 6: Synergize
- Habit 7: Sharpen the Saws
As an output, each department/ chief of offices submitted to the management a “Contribution Statement” which outlined their commitment in the realization of the city’s vision, mission and goals and administration thrusts.
